Art is something deep within me, that as Anni Albers puts it, “…makes you breathe with a different kind of happiness.” If I am not creating, I may as well be withering away!

I am a local artist, based in Papamoa and a mum to two preschoolers. My passion has always been in painting and charcoal work. I most often use oil paints and occasionally will use acrylics. I love to depict ideas/themes through figures and faces, often with an abstract elements to them. I am trained as a Primary School teacher but began a degree in Fine Arts prior to that. So, I have had a little bit of formal training, but other than that I am self taught. My work is mostly abstract with pop-art and abstract expressive influences. Recently, I have had a painting as a finalist in the Miles Art Award, held at the Tauranga Art Gallery, which was such a privilege.

I am available for commissions, collaborations and if I have work for sale, it will be up on my website to view and purchase.
