A Sculptor and Installation artist formerly based in Auckland, and Brisbane, I was for many years a resident artist at the Incubator Creative Hub in Tauranga.

Since returning from Australia in 2025, I have once again settled into living and working in the beautiful Bay of Plenty region, establishing a studio practice at Papamoa Beach.

Originally from the UK. I began teaching at tertiary level across a variety of adult programs in New Zealand and Australia. In 2003 I established my own part-time, adult contemporary visual arts programs which acted as a ‘gateway’ into tertiary studies for many of the students involved.

My Art practice addresses issues concerning memory, belonging and loss through contemporary materials and processes.

The work engages the viewer on a shared personal and at times private journey that speaks of familiar issues in relation to feelings of connection and isolation with people and places.

With a passion for drawing, especially life drawing, I regard drawing in its many forms to be fundamental to all other art disciplines in that it forces us to find ways to interpret the world around us.

I have been involved in numerous private and publically run workshop initiatives in NZ and overseas. I have a strong interest in community involvement and mentoring in the Arts. Over recent years have successfully delivered a monthly forum (The Feedback Lab), through the Incubator Creative Hub, these regular meetings invited artists to provide peer support, critique and connection.

Alongside my teaching career, I have exhibited extensively in New Zealand and Australia. Most noted exhibitions include Span Gallery Melbourne, AUT gallery Auckland, Centre of Contemporary Arts, Christchurch. 15 Artists, Redcliffe Art Gallery Qld.

In 2019, I was selected as a finalist in the Parkin Drawing Prize NZ and in 2025 a finalist in the Moreton Bay Art Awards, Australia. My work has been acquired in private collections across the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
