I have been involved in creating, maintaining, and educating about Bonsai as an Art form for more than thirty years. My main focus is the Art side of an activity which also contains a large horticultural component. This is a Living Art form and no tree is ever finished.

I am also a New Zealand Bonsai Association national demonstrator and contribute regularly to a variety of publications.

My focus is on education and I subscribe to the basic Japanese design principles, mixed with a healthy dose of freeform art principles depending on the variety of tree in front of me.
