Kia ora, I’m an oil painter (and occasional water-colourist) specialising in landscape and floral still life.

I draw inspiration from my surroundings and aim to capture my chosen subject with sensitivity and feeling. Painting landscapes predominantly en plein air grants a refreshing immediacy to my work.

In my botanical and still life works, I convey a feeling of vibrant life by highlighting colour and movement. This is particularly through engaging with changing light and its effects on the natural hues of my subject matter.
