Born in Tauranga, I’ve lived an adventure-filled life, spanning a range of careers and countries. I’ve wrangled kindergarten children, driven buses, researched humpback whales, spoken at the United Nations, visited Antarctica, and farmed deer.
These days, I write speculative, and sometimes sexy, fiction. I love to blend genres, so my stories range from science fiction to fantasy to horror and everywhere in between. My publications include: a novel; two novellas; a short story collection; numerous short stories; and a bunch of scientific papers. My current project features a murderous menopausal space-farers – it’s not meant to be autobiographical.
