Kia ora, I’m Jess! After having my baby last year, I discovered a huge passion for photographing her and documenting all our special family moments, which led to developing my own business. I offer heartfelt photography focused on mums and minis; maternity, newborn, baby and child portraits, and cake smash. My style is authentic, emotive and relaxed.

I moved to New Zealand five years ago from the United States and feel so fortunate to have settled in the Bay of Plenty. Being distant from a lot of family and friends, especially during Covid, while growing my own family has underlined the importance of beautiful keepsake photos to share and cherish forever.

My professional background is in education and libraries, so I have lots of experience with little ones. As a hobby, I also love photographing landscapes and wildlife. I’m most inspired by nature, particularly the beautiful coastal environment of Papamoa where we live.

I am mostly a self-taught photographer. I have taken the newborn safety certification course with Kelly Brown, as I believe keeping newborns safe and comfortable during their session is the utmost priority. A professional highlight so far is that one of my photos was awarded Highly Commended at the 2024 Asia Pacific Photo Awards.

I would love to connect with other small business owners, especially other young mums. I’m alsop interested in collaborations with local creatives and small businesses where we could complement and refer to each other, e.g. florists, make up artists, cake makers, boutiques, etc.

I can also offer event and other styles of photography, including on a volunteer basis for non-profits.
