Hi, I am Kenrick Rhys. A wedding and commercial photographer based in Tauranga.

I run two photography brands, Kenrick Rhys Photography, for candid documentary style wedding photography. The other is Captain Creative for commercial photography, focusing on fashion and advertising photography. The two separate brands allow me to do things differently and appeal to different audiences while keeping the brand message separate.

My wedding work is romantic, real and emotive, documenting weddings as they happen. My commercial work is more focused on business, fresh ideas and delivering what my clients need.

I enjoy the variety in my work and the ability to work with other creatives and businesses. I originally trained as a chef when I left school, then travelled with my wife, where I taught myself photography.

Returning to New Zealand in 2012 I started my wedding photography business and my commercial brand followed a few years later.
