Kia Ora,

I’m Sam Allen, a full-time muralist, painter and illustrator from Tauranga, New Zealand.

I’m currently a resident artist at The Incubator Creative Hub at the Historic Village.

I have been pursuing a career in visual art since 2019. In that time, I have gathered a lot of experience painting murals in public, private, commercial spaces and with community groups and schools. I paint bold, eye-catching murals on all kinds of walls, no matter the surface or size. The bigger, the better.

My inspiration stems from Tauranga: the people, legends, environment and creatures of this beautiful place influence my work. I also take notes from surrealism, graphic art and all the fantastic artists in Tauranga.
