Kia ora,
My name is Shayden. I am a spatial designer passionate about placemaking, user experience, installation design and redeveloping underutilized urban spaces to allow positive change. I am a sonic and ceramic artist and graduated from Massey University Wellington, New Zealand, with a Bachelor of Spatial Design with A-class honours. I have recently moved back home to Tauranga and am on the lookout for any work opportunities.
Spatial design has taught me what it encompasses to experience a space both physically and virtually and the emotions and stories these spaces can evoke.
I have gained valuable insight and knowledge into exhibition design, user experience, storytelling, interactive design, communication through innovation, spatial inhabitation, data visualization, performance design, interior design, installation design, placemaking, concept design, and an overall knowledge of design as a whole.
I am a keen creative who loves learning, creating evoking and memorable experiences for users, adapting my skill base, and coming up with new ideas.
I possess a wide range of abilities that combine innovative art and design principles. I am well experienced with all Adobe Suite programs, Sketch up, indigo renderer, and PowerPoint.
Over the past year, I have been completing free-lance design projects, including public art installations and small scale interventions into public space to allow a conversation or a thought-provoking experience to occur.
I am interested in all kinds of creative work!
