I’m a New Zealand–based visual artist working mainly in painting, with a practice grounded in abstract realism. My work sits in the space between what’s felt and what’s seen — part emotion, part form. I’m drawn to expressive marks, layered surfaces, and imagery that hints rather than explains.
I paint from lived experience. A lot of my work comes from moments of change, breaking open, rebuilding, and learning how to listen to myself again. Painting is how I process the world and make sense of what I’m moving through. My process is intuitive and often messy — I let the work lead, responding to what’s happening on the canvas rather than forcing an outcome.
I found my way back to art later in life, and I’m largely self-taught. What I lack in formal rules, I make up for in honesty. Creating has become both grounding and freeing for me — a way to turn vulnerability into something visible and shared.
I’ve exhibited in group shows and recently launched my first solo exhibition, which marked a significant moment in my creative journey. I’m actively involved in my local arts community and value spaces that support growth, connection, and creative courage.
I’m open to commissions, exhibitions, and collaborations, and I’m always interested in connecting with other artists, curators, and creatives. My work is available online and through exhibitions, and I welcome conversations that feel aligned and meaningful.
