Park2Park Art & Sculpture Trail

Park2Park aims to install sculptural artworks along a coastal strip connecting ƌtumoetai and Matua, linking Kulim and Fergusson Parks. This culturally and historically significant area will feature art that highlights the deep connection between land and harbour while fostering community engagement and environmental appreciation.

Park2Park is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) to apply for this exciting opportunity to design and create the first permanent installation for the Park2Park Matua Art & Sculpture Trail.

  • Eligibility: Open to emerging and established local and national artists
  • Commission: Paid opportunity (upon short listed selection of concept drawings, there will be a payment of $1500 to submit detailed design drawings and costings and the research that underpins the design ie. hapĆ« engagement)
  • Successful Applicant Artist Fee for Final Sculpture is up to approx. $40k (to be negotiated and separate to fabrication, engineering, installment and transport costs)

Artists must submit an expression of interest outlining their concept, materials, and alignment with the project’s vision. The independent curatorial panel will assess proposals based on artistic merit, feasibility, and design concept. The selection process is as follows:
