I’m Richard Parker and I established Black Chilli in 2015 to work with companies, businesses and organisations who need a bespoke prop and themed design and manufacturing service.

Since then there has been an amazing variety of commissions and projects across an equally varied customer base from branding agencies, advertising campaigns and councils to theatre productions, themed furniture and expo stands.

My background is in furniture and I had a design and manufacturing company in the UK specialising in educational, commercial and special needs furniture working with designers, architects and teaching staff.

The experiences taught me that having exact communication and close collaboration with everyone involved is vital to understanding the concept of a project and the success of whatever is being created or achieved.

While Black Chilli relies foremost on the creativity required to see what, at the start, is only in someone’s imagination it’s balanced with pragmatism and a comprehensive knowledge of business and the experience to work within budgets and time frames.

So we are happy to work with you, your team and other businesses on virtually any project from stage props and expo stands to shop displays, themed furniture and roadshows.

A couple of years ago I added a hire side full of unique props and products built in house, to cover different events, party’s, weddings, productions, team building and fund raising available for long or short term hire.

There is a display area at the unit in Roxanne Place and most of the hire products can be viewed, just call before hand to make sure someone is on site.

The hire props are constantly being added to with new products and themes so keep checking the website and if there is anything you can’t find for your event then get in touch and we can look at building it for you.
