PROFILE

Tauranga Photographic Society

  • Photography
  • Visual Arts

The Tauranga Photographic Society meet on the first and third Thursday during the months of February to November inclusive at The Art and Craft Centre, 177 Elizabeth Street (at the roundabout end).

The meetings start at 7:00pm with an informal 30 mins to catch up over a cuppa before the more structured part of the evening begins at 7.30pm with either a guest speaker or club member presenting. These informative and entertaining presentations are guaranteed to increase your photographic knowledge and improve your photography. The second part of the evening is for evaluation feedback on members images. The finish time is around 9.30pm.

Throughout the year there are organised events, including Practical Nights, Workshops and a regular monthly event called GOYA, (Short for Get Outta Your Armchair), where members gather at local cafe and discuss a photography based theme, then head off and shoot photographs around that theme. So if you have an interest in photography and you would like to improve your skills, come and visit us.
