The Youth Philharmonic Tauranga is the city’s symphonic youth orchestra, conducted by Justus Rozemond. We typically perform two concerts a year, and also run a weekend orchestral workshop in December.

The YPT is open to players of age 12-18 of sufficient proficiency on their instruments. For detailed joining criteria, check out the website. Please also talk to your instrument teacher about your plans.

We rehearse on Wednesday evenings, 7pm-9pm, at the Tauranga City Brass band hall on Yatton Street, Greerton. Players are expected to attend all rehearsals, as orchestral playing is very much a team effort.
