Hi, my name is Amber Judd,

I am a self taught artist based in the The Bay of Plenty.
I have recently completed my level 6 diploma in creativity at the learning connexion, New Zealand.
I work with acrylic paints, mixed media, chalk and henna as mediums. I specialize in line, fine dot work, and mandala designs. I have an abstract and organic style, working with string and nature foliage as materials for texture art.
My art has an intuitive process; where environment, people and emotions influence my work. I never know what I am creating at a time, and create from a meditative state. This means my art is always a surprise, and can hold some unique factors.
I create to inspire, to make space for the unknown, a place to question and remember. “Art is dance on paper, an interaction with a state of being, a story”. I intend to make create space to free the mind and body in my art, ‘as to change one perception, can change ones reality’.

I am also a performing artist, doing multiple hoop dance. As a result my art has a fluid process, embodying movement and change.

I am interested in large scale opportunities for mandala designs and other involvement in community.
