I was born in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

I studied marketing and art at Hamilton Technical Institute, and I live at Papamoa. I have always been interested in art and have experimented in many different subjects and mediums. Colours, values, shadows, perspective and lights intrigue me. Playing with metallics and foils, impasto, even fabric paint, to get the transparency and illusion to draw in the eye, creating a story or thought while perusing my works.

The challenge is interpreting what’s in the mind of the viewer. To put that on to the canvas with confidence and objective capturing their intent and vision.

My love of nature and animals is where I am leaning to today. That’s the fun of being an artist; things can change at any moment.
