Hello! I am a ceramic artist and painter and have been living in Tauranga for about ten years.

I have enjoyed learning and working in a variety of art genres all my life. I have attended formal art education in many areas – such as portrait painting in oils; acrylics; watercolour; etching and various methods of printmaking; glass sculpture; ceramics. I continue to enjoy frequent opportunities to learn from experts at Bethlehem Pottery Club, Tauranga Society of Artists and other venues in the North Island. Also I enjoy visiting Galleries, Museums and Art and Ceramics Exhibitions.

Since retirement I have concentrated on two areas; Painting with acrylics – where I have a love of colour and enjoy letting my imagination lead in the development of each painting – and Hand building in clay – where I build totems, planter heads, sculptures and ornaments for the home and garden. Many of these have a bird theme and are colourful and fun.

I have the Ceramic Arts Gallery in Cedar Grove, Matua, Tauranga where I work in my Studio in both pottery and painting. I open my Gallery on Saturdays 10:00 am – 2:00 pm and Sundays 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm. Other times by arrangement.

Visitors are always very welcome.
