Kia ora, my name is Maddie and I work in communications, public relations, and marketing, specialising in social media marketing and strategy. I have a Bachelor of Communications, majoring in marketing and public relations from the University of Waikato. I am currently the social media marketing manager for Our Place (Our Place Tauranga & Our Place Magazine), and Little Big Events (The Little Big Markets, Vegan Vibes, Dinner in the Domain, Dinner in the Park, and Tauranga’s Christmas in the Park). I am also contracted to run the social media ads and analytics for Revive Festival.

Previously, I have worked with Sport New Zealand as the Communications Manager for Girl Code, a programme dedicated to helping young women in schools throughout the Waikato to engage in a sport or activity. I have also worked with Aongatete Avocados Ltd (AAL) as their Marketing Assistant curating and pitching international marketing strategies, and growing brand awareness and sales on AAL’s subsidiaries; Avo Orchard and Avoject.
