I’m a Tauranga-based metal embossing artist and specialise in creating highly textured 3-Dimensional botanical and ocean-inspired metal art working in pewter, copper and aluminium.

Born in South Africa, I moved to New Zealand in 2016 with my husband and son. Wired with a deep love and appreciation for nature, my work is greatly inspired by the natural beauty of New Zealand’s forests, botanical gardens and beaches. I often use photos captured on family adventures as inspiration in my work.

My embossed metal and pewter artworks explore the wonders of creation by delving deeper into the variety of shapes, textures and patterns found in plants, microbes and sea life.

Each art piece reflects on the diversity found in a particular aspect of nature, and I enjoy exploring life metaphors and spiritual symbolism to encourage and inspire others.

I am currently exploring metallic hues of silver, copper, bronze and gold and love combining different types of metal in my work. Layering pieces on top of each other creates depth and interest.

Mounting these metal artworks on a black background with black frames gives it an elegant, contemporary feel.

My work explores seasons and transformation, looking at how plants grow from seeds into plants that flower or bear fruit. It is an invitation to notice the beauty in each season and to embrace the transition into the next with an open heart and a sense of adventure

My work has been featured in the New Zealand House and Garden Magazine in 2021 and is owned by collectors from countries around the world, including Italy, Portugal, South Africa, the UK, USA, New Zealand and Australia.
